Truly in Control

Both Olivia & Kevin have dreaded the day of their wedding, not because they don’t love each other 8-)). They knew they would run into problems with the venue of their holy matrimony and that day to decide came. We prayed that the Catholic church would agreed to a dispensation (which is not easy to get) for Kevin & Olivia to hold a garden wedding instead of in a Catholic church (for more details, please talk to them personally 8-)).

Along came this encouraging email from Olivia.

“Dear all,

Just want to thank God and thank you for your prayers. As you know, the Catholic church no longer has an issue with our garden wedding. We want to say that truly God is in control and is gracious to our request (even though sometimes I think we don't deserve it).

Thank you once again. Hope this will encourage everyone to know that HE is there, in case you are wondering

Regards,

Olivia Loh.”

"Hope this will encourage everyone to know that HE is there, in case you are wondering" ... we're happy that things are moving for Olivia and Kev. And "HE" has indeed shown us all lots of his TLC .. We thank God for Wai Ling who gave birth to a baby girl last Saturday. We're delighted with two baptisms last week, and affirmations this Sunday ... I do "wonder" about God, not so much of whether He's there, but more now "wonder" how we could express our thanks to him by loving him and obeying him and sharing him and his message with others with both words and deed (Social work is not a replacement to the sharing of our faith but rather a reinforcement of the message we believe in). Looking forward for this Saturday's World Vision Walk. I need the exercise too!
