BLC's Community Blog - the Gatherings, Life Groups, discipleship, social issues, prayers, worship experiences, insights into the Scripture... no random statements of who we had lunch with and what our dogs ate for breakfast. The place where strangers get to know us as a community, who we are, what we're like, how we function, and to experience what it'll be like to be a part of us.

Wednesday Evening Support

future teachers sharing Posted by Hello

When I was first approached whether we could open up the Father's House for a Christian Fellowship to meet , it reminded me of my form four days when i approached the pastor opposite my school for a meeting place. These values of reaching out and partnering with other Christians go way back more than 15 years! It's deep ... and I'm glad the council supported the idea of allowing them to use our venue on wednesday when they need to (BTW, it maximizes our facilities usage doesn't it?).

The group in these pictures are specially trained to be English teachers (and possibly other subjects) they are mostly from other states (What happened to those in the rich capital huh? Just a question ... and maybe a challenge?). They come in different cohorts and then leave for another 2 years or more overseas. The purpose of the Christian Fellowship is to help them prepare themselves with a special focuse on "what does it mean to be a Christian teacher".

So apart from supporting them with "space" for their gathering, let's support them in prayer and encouragement! This is our little part to fulfill our vision "to be a catalyst for spiritual and social change Bangsar and beyond."

I'm happy that BLC is playing our part to raise a small group of teachers that will make a difference in the life of young Malaysians for years to come.
