BLC's Community Blog - the Gatherings, Life Groups, discipleship, social issues, prayers, worship experiences, insights into the Scripture... no random statements of who we had lunch with and what our dogs ate for breakfast. The place where strangers get to know us as a community, who we are, what we're like, how we function, and to experience what it'll be like to be a part of us.

Last Sunday - Worship Gathering

Worship Gathering was fun last Sunday ... at BLC.... functioned as Keeper and Communion Helper.....what are they, you might ask?

Keeper:- It is a joy to be Keeper...basically, one is first a greeter....welcoming people at the door with a pleasant smile and a Good Morning, God bless you! Passing them a Life Update, and ushering newcomers to a seat.

When the Gathering starts, one then controls the ambience.... the lighting, and air conditioning.... to help provide a suitable atmosphere for the people to worship God....

Communion Helper:- Buy bread and wine, prepare the bread and wine, wash the cups after communion.... its very fun to buy bread....BLC has seen many many types of bread.... and pouring wine into the tiny cups is so fun... BLC also serves real wine... not grape juice or Ribena, like many other churches I have been to.....

Overall, I currently find so much joy in meeting people and being able to serve them....

John... I'm happy to see that you enjoy serving... and that is something I will never get tired of... people who serve with such joy. :O) I see humility and servanthood in you. I'm glad to be in the same place as you each Sunday.
