BLC's Community Blog - the Gatherings, Life Groups, discipleship, social issues, prayers, worship experiences, insights into the Scripture... no random statements of who we had lunch with and what our dogs ate for breakfast. The place where strangers get to know us as a community, who we are, what we're like, how we function, and to experience what it'll be like to be a part of us.

Sunday Blurry Sunday

This morning worship had a dreamlike quality to it - probably because I was still half asleep after the wedding last night. I suspect a few others were in the same boat as I looked around the room. Fortunately for me in Sivin's absence the worship team did a great job, the table guides for the kids remembered their parts and refreshments were arranged. I must remember to have a think and ask a few questions next time I hold the fort. I think I was feeling okay about it until Keat Lim said to me "so you're joining up the dots today" That's when I realised I had forgotten my pencil !.

What did go exceptionally well was Mr Tan's message about forgiveness. His nuts and bolts approach is a lot like his approach to other subjects he has presented to us, it is simple and straightfoward yet very wise. Of course he always injects plenty of humour which also helps. If you missed it I would advise having a listen to the recording some time soon. You can use to let some folks out of the prison which only you hold the key to. (listen then you will know what I mean)

So yes it was blurry but we made it to the end, gathered in our circle and the Lord has sent us out into the world for the week ahead. Shalom
